This week we touch on healthcare and take a trip with The Teacher to the hospital where one of her students is having a knee operation. We also talk about shaving. I’m not sure how we got to this point. I think the verb to shave is in the lesson, but we realize that shaving the legs is mostly a western thing. Waxing is what it is all about in Latin America. (Is that true? Please someone comment.) After all of this confusion I introduced The Teacher to threading. Threading is not something I would recommend but it does keep one’s neckline and hairline trim. So shaving, waxing or threading, someone’s got to get the hair out. You’ll find reflexive verbs in this lesson. A verb is reflexive when the subject and the object are the same. I wax myself. Enjoy the lesson.
